Down from the Männlichen or from Wengernalp: sledging is winter fun for the whole family.

The Jungfrau Ski Region has around 50 km of sledge runs. Some start right above Wengen: the Fox Run from Wengernalp down to the village and the runs from the Männlichen to Holenstein.

You can rent sledges and helmets from us. And so that the fun doesn’t end with cold fingers, you will find waterproof gloves, warm jackets and goggles for young and old.

Sledge runs from Wengen

Sledge runs aren’t playgrounds: ride in control and expect walkers and vehicles.

  • Fox Run: Wengernalp – Wengen

    Around 4.5 km · next to the Lauberhorn run

    Up by the Wengernalp railway, back to the village on the sledge. Some sledging experience is an advantage.

  • Männlichen – Holenstein

    5.5 km · easy · approx. 1 h

    By cable car from Wengen up to the Männlichen and down the easy run to Holenstein. For the faster ones there is "Ritas Speedway" (4.5 km).

  • Jungfrau Eiger Run

    Eigergletscher 2,320 m → Grindelwald 943 m · approx. 1 h 10

    For experienced sledgers: one of the longest runs in the region, with gradients up to 36 %. Reachable from Wengen by the Wengernalp and Jungfrau railways.

  • Waterproof gloves (plus a spare pair)
  • Winter boots with a good tread for braking
  • Helmet and goggles
  • Waterproof trousers
  • Warm hat and neck gaiter

Missing something? We are happy to advise you in the store.

Brake with both feet flat on the snow – never with your heels. Good boots with a grippy tread make the difference.
